E-Rechnung: check, read and create German e-invoices
Open an XRechnung or ZUGFeRD file, see it as a normal invoice, and find out which official rule it breaks, explained in plain words. Everything runs in your browser: your invoices never leave your device.
Check and open an e-invoice
Drop an XML or PDF file. You see the invoice, every failed rule of the official KoSIT rule set with what to fix, and for ZUGFeRD any difference between the PDF and the data inside.

The dates
- Since 1 January 2025 every business in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices from other businesses in Germany (§ 14 UStG; an e-mail inbox is enough).
- For supplies up to 31 December 2026 the invoice may still be on paper, or a PDF if the customer agrees (§ 27(38) UStG).
- For supplies in 2027 paper or PDF is allowed only if your total turnover in 2026 was at most €800,000; EDI with the customer's consent also stays allowed (§ 27(38) UStG).
- From 1 January 2028 invoices between businesses in Germany must be e-invoices. Invoices up to €250 and invoices from small businesses under § 19 UStG may still be other invoices (§§ 33, 34a UStDV).
